Frequently Asked Questions

  • Trips are tailored to the age and level of fishing experience in your group. Brad can provide a trip appropriate for children and families, all the way to experienced fishers.

    We also specialize in school groups and fun, unique company off-sites.

  • We fish from shore at a New York City pier or public park. For private groups, we’ll choose a custom location based on your preferences.

    Food, snacks and bathrooms are always nearby and most of our fishing spots are wheelchair accessible. If additional accommodations are needed please let me know.

  • We provide everything you need, including rods, reels, tackle, bait and all other fishing equipment. Brad will have extra sunscreen, wipes and hand sanitizer but please bring your own SPF protection.

  • Targeted species and fishing method will change based on season and conditions. Common species include striped bass, tautog (blackfish), black seabass, porgy, summer flounder (fluke), American eel, and the ever-present toadfish.

    We will occasionally catch bluefish, white perch, spot, winter flounder and species of small sharks like smooth dogfish. There can always be a surprise appearance from an exotic species too!

  • You can keep your catch if it meets the relevant regulations. Keeping fish in the city is possible but does require some considerations. If you're interested in that Brad can discuss with you.

  • If conditions are right we will use underwater cameras, small traps and other cool science gadgets to learn more about the marine environment while we fish!
